How to Make Peaches and Cream Smoothie Bowls
These smoothie bowls are crazy easy! I use ripe fresh peaches for the best flavor. A benefit of using fresh peaches is that you can leave the skin on the peaches which adds more fiber and vitamins to the smoothie. If you are using fresh peaches, freeze them in slices the night before. Using peach slices that are frozen gives you a thick smoothie bowl that can hold up lots of toppings. Peaches are great for digestive health as well. They have a soft texture, are lower in fiber than fresh fruit, and are easy to digest and can help soothe an upset stomach and ease diarrhea and gas. This delicious fruit is also packed with antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties which is even more good news for your gut health.
Next, add in vanilla Greek yogurt, protein powder of choice if you want (optional), milk of your choice (can use almond, oat, etc. too), cinnamon and a little vanilla. Blend until smooth. I like using a food processor for an awesome whipped texture, but a blender will work also.
Finally, dump your smoothie into a bowl and top it with your choice of toppings. Great choices are nuts like almonds, granola or cereal, more peach slices, and chia seeds. Use whatever you like and have on hand. My kids love their smoothies topped with Cheerios's cereal because they get a little soft and go well with the smoothie.

Taking Your Probiotic with Your Breakfast
I have been
taking a probiotic for years for gut health and another thing I love about
VSL#3® is that this particular probiotic can be mixed right into your smoothie.
VSL#3® is available in capsules
and packets to fit whatever form and potency
you prefer. Pro tip: you can also open the capsules and mix it into any cold,
non-carbonated liquid or food. VSL#3® is special because it is a high-potency
probiotic medical food to help improve gut health and for people with chronic
digestive issues such as ulcerative colitis or irritable bowel syndrome.
VSL#3® is a specially formulated probiotic medical food that delivers
multiple strains of beneficial live bacteria to create a better microbial
balance which is so important for digestive health. Many other probiotics found
on the shelf are single strain probiotics however, VSL#3® Capsules (112.5
billion CFU) have about 10 times more bacteria than the leading commercially
sold OTC probiotic*and a diversity of 8 beneficial
bacteria strains. It
is kept in the fridge to maintain potency and uses 8 different strains of
bacteria so that more good bacteria can survive the GI tract. No wonder it is
the #1 recommended high-potency probiotic brand by gastroenterologists!
