Crispy Baked Sweet Potato Fries
Crispy Baked Sweet Potato Fries are super easy to make, healthy and flavorful with chili, garlic and onion powder!
One benefit of the colder weather is that it is finally acceptable to turn the oven on! On a 90 degree day, there was no way that I wanted our oven heating up our house but with the fall weather, it's actually nice to have the oven warming up our home. We recently bought a ton of sweet potatoes in our Hungry Harvest box (not sponsored) so I decided to make these Crispy Baked Sweet Potato Fries. They are one of our favorites so I thought I would share the recipe.
How to Make Crispy Baked Sweet Potato Fries
Crispy Baked Sweet Potato Fries are super easy to make. Just cut them, toss in olive oil and bake until very crispy. I like to wait to add the spices until they are done baking so they spices do not burn or make the fries stick to the sheet pan. A little tip to get them extra crispy is to give the sweet potato fries plenty of room to bake. Do not crowd them on the pan because otherwise, they will take longer to bake and will not get as crispy.
Nutrition in Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes are an awesome food because they are loaded with vitamins A and C. They also have potassium, niacin, thiamin and even a little iron. One cup of cooked sweet potato has 6.6 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein. Pretty loaded with nutrients! I recommend keeping the skins on the fries for extra fiber!
What makes these sweet potato fries so tasty?
I love the little simple spice mixture that we add to our sweet potato fries: chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder and salt. Somehow, the mix of these spices is just so delicious and makes the yummiest fries.
