Healthy Halloween Snack Tray
What to put on a Healthy Halloween Snack Tray?
-Pumpkin Clementines- clementines with a little piece of celery for the stem
-Candy Corn Yogurt Bark- freeze vanilla Greek yogurt on parchment paper and place candy corn all over it and freeze. Break into pieces. I actually wanted to use gummy worms for this but couldn't find them at the store. Feel free to make either option.
-Banana ghosts with chocolate chip eyes and mouth
-Pretzels with purple marshmallow cobwebs
-Baby carrots with guacamole- just kind of spooky looking
I toyed around with so many different ideas for what to make for this healthy Halloween snack tray and landed on these healthier options that were fairly easy to make. Of course I'm not saying that candy corn is healthy but it is fun and most of the other ingredients are healthy so I think it's okay.
I loaded all of these little treats up on my snack tray and my kids literally freaked out. They were so excited to eat everything that they could barely wait for me to take the pictures. Everything is very kid approved! The adults enjoyed it too.
To save time, I bought the guacamole already prepared. I bought baby carrots because the kids love them and I knew that I wouldn't have to spend time cutting them. The banana ghosts take like 2 minutes to put together and are just so cute!
Pretzels with Marshmallow Cobwebs
The pretzels with marshmallow cobwebs are totally messy. I heated marshmallows in the microwave, mixed in blue and red food coloring to make purple and took the gooey marshmallow between my hands and made stretched out cobwebs. Not a perfect procedure because your hands are then covered in marshmallow but the kids sure were impressed.
Pumpkin Clementines
My kids were the most impressed by the pumpkin clementines which were the very easiest item to make. Just peel your clementine and stick a tiny slice of celery in it to make the stem.
English Muffin Spider Pizzas
They also really liked the English muffin spider pizzas. Just slice an olive in half the longways and then cut into eight tiny slices for spider legs. I never knew my kids loved black olives so much! They couldn't stop eating these.
Candy Corn Yogurt Bark
My 3 year old son made the yogurt bark himself. He opened the yogurt, spread it on parchment paper which was on a sheet pan and then carefully placed in pieces of candy corn. Then we froze it and broke it into pieces. So easy but the kids loved it. I'll try it with gummy worms next time.
This was truly the most fun recipe I've ever made. I never knew that I wanted to get crafty like this but it was a ton of fun and I can't wait until next Halloween to make some more fun goodies!!
