Berry Chia Oatmeal
Berry Chia Oatmeal is super easy to make and is loaded with 5 different berries, protein, fiber and antioxidants to start your day off right!
Oatmeal is the perfect breakfast to prep for my family. It takes less than 5 minutes to get together the night before and is ready to be heated for a few minutes while I get the coffee going. This Berry Chia Oatmeal is loaded with nutrients and very kid-friendly. It is easy to make and tastes delicious! When I prep oats, I prep enough for my entire family all together. I always add in chia seeds and/or ground flax, some kind of protein and any other add-ins that add nutrition and flavor. I love to make our oatmeal nutrient-dense so we can start our day out on the right foot feeling our best.
My son is the biggest oatmeal lover in our family. He would have oatmeal for breakfast almost over anything. Well, maybe it's tied with pancakes. I like that I can cook all of our oatmeal together and dish it out quickly. Aside from cereal, oatmeal is the easiest breakfast I can make for my family.
Ingredients in Berry Chia Oatmeal
-Old-fashioned oats
-Chia seeds
-Berries (frozen or fresh)
-Collagen protein powder (optional)
I used a mix with cherries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries. All the berries! Feel free to use whatever you have on hand.
What is KaraMD Revive Reds?
It is a red superfood powder made from foods like strawberries, beets, pineapple, hibiscus, tart cherries and more. It was designed by Dr. Kara to help your body have more energy throughout the day. Its packed with polyphenols which are micronutrients found in edible plants. They’re full of antioxidants which come with a wide range of health benefits.
The powder is great added to a smoothie, mixed into a glass of water or in this oatmeal. It has no sugar added and is vegan.
Revive Reds is rich in polyphenols that are found in berries and other fruits and can help in boosting energy. It is also rich in antioxidants which berries are naturally rich in. The powder has a great berry flavor that dissolves easily into your food. I liked it added to my oatmeal for extra nutrients.
Nutrients in Berry Chia Oatmeal
Oh man, this oatmeal is loaded with nutrients! Antioxidants from the berries, fiber from the berries and oats. I add the collagen powder for extra protein to make the oatmeal more filling. Any kind of protein powder would work or just leave it out if you do not like it. The chia seeds are rich in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. This oatmeal bowl packs a ton of fiber, protein and vitamins and minerals and always leaves me feeling my best compared to when I eat something like a bagel for breakfast.
