No more sickness PLEASE! We just had our 5th round of sickness for the season and I can't take it anymore. Everyone, drink one of these Immune Boosting Smoothies and wash your hands!! I wanted to make this smoothie kid-friendly so that my kids would drink it and love it. This Orange Carrot Immune Boosting Smoothie is perfect for breakfast or a snack.

What goes in an immune boosting smoothie?

The number one thing that I wanted to focus on when making an immune boosting smoothie is loading it with vitamin C which can help with immunity. Oranges and carrots are loaded with vitamin C! I also included bananas, cinnamon, milk, collagen peptides and flax. I wanted to include foods that are flavorful and would make a pretty orange smoothie. I also wanted it to be loaded with nutrients to nourish our bodies to help fight off sickness.

What nutrients are in an immune boosting smoothie?

The oranges and carrots are loaded with vitamin C. The banana and oranges are rich in potassium. The milk has calcium and protein. The collagen has protein and the flax is rich in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. A very nutrient packed drink!

How to make an immune boosting smoothie?

The number one thing NOT to do is to use raw carrots in this smoothie. I did that for the first round and it was way too chunky. When you steam (or microwave) the carrots until they are soft, they will nicely blend into the smoothie. To make this smoothie, just blend together all of the ingredients. So easy and quick to make!
