Banana Split Waffles are ready in 5 minutes and feature crispy waffles topped with Greek yogurt, bananas, strawberries, drizzly peanut butter, crushed peanuts and a little dark chocolate for a delicious and nutritious breakfast!
The kids and I love having a huge variety of breakfast options to make on school days. The thing is, everything has to be ready in about 5 minutes or less. School mornings are super busy with three kids that require lots of help and an 8 AM leave time. These Banana Split Waffles come together in about 5 minutes and are a nutritious start to the day that is fun and out of our ordinary breakfast options. If you are working towards your wellness in the new year, these Banana Split Waffles, featuring Van's® Gluten Free Waffles, are a perfect option to start your day off right.
There are so many ways to top a waffle to make it a Banana Split Waffle. I chose to make these nutritious and more of a breakfast option than a dessert option. I topped my toasted Van's Gluten Free Waffles with Greek yogurt, drizzled peanut butter, fresh strawberries and bananas, crushed peanuts and a little dark chocolate because what is a banana split without some chocolate?
If you wanted to make these banana split waffles for dessert, I would do whipped cream instead of the Greek yogurt and add maybe some chocolate sauce and caramel. That would be fun!
We love Van's® Waffles because they taste so delicious, are nutritious, and toast up perfectly in our toaster. I picked up some blueberry, original and apple cinnamon waffles for this post. They are made with whole grain brown rice flour and have no high-fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. They're sweetened with fruit juice, have 21-23 grams of whole grains per serving and are free from dairy, egg, cholesterol and corn.
We also love the Van's Power Grains Waffles and Van's Organic Waffles when we can find those. They are dairy free, egg free, nut free and corn free.
The Van’s® Gluten Free The Perfect 10® Crackers are awesome too with any kind of dip, peanut butter or my favorite, sharp cheddar cheese. They are made with oats, brown rice, millet, quinoa and amaranth. These are gluten-free which is awesome because they are super tasty and a great option for anyone needing a gluten-free diet.
I picked up these Van's waffles and crackers at Kroger but they can be found at many other stores as well.
