Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread
Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread makes a super delicious and very easy appetizer! Made with crusty sourdough bread, melted cheddar cheese, butter, garlic and green onions, it is a crowd pleaser.
One of the appetizers that I remember my mom making a lot growing up was this pull apart bread also known as checkerboard bread. It is totally addictive and every time she makes it, I can't stop eating it! She uses a mixture of cheese, butter, garlic and green onions in her pull apart bread so I decided to do the same. This Cheesy Garlic Pull Apart Bread is perfect for a Christmas party, for a New Year's Eve party or of course, for anytime.
For New Year's Eve since we had kids, we have been having parties at either my house or my brother's house. We dress up and make a bunch of appetizers and enjoy some drinks. For NYE this year, the theme is the Roaring 20's since we are going to be starting the 20's again- crazy if you think about it!
It is at my brother's house and we are all bringing appetizers. There are so many great ones to make that I always have a hard time deciding. I love my Garlic Tomato Artichoke Dip, Bruschetta Hummus Toasts, or Tomato Pesto Cream Cheese Crostini a lot.
I wanted to make something that was easy since we are going through a particularly busy time in our lives (with Lily's weekly plagiocephaly appointments and physical therapy). As many times as I've eaten Cheese and Garlic Pull Apart Bread, I have never made it myself until now. It is super easy and a crowd pleaser for sure. When you toast this bread in the oven, the butter and cheese get all melted and the bread gets a little crispy. It is perfect!
Cheesy Garlic Pull Apart Bread can be prepped in just a few minutes. Just cut the bread into cubes without cutting it all the way through. Then load up with butter, cheddar cheese, garlic and green onions and bake in the oven until toasty. Try bringing this to your next part and see how much guests love it.
I baked this loaf of cheesy pull apart bread on a Chicago Metallic Elite nonstick baking sheet. Nothing stuck to it and the extra melted cheese that got on the sheet pan came off very easily. It is a bronze color and so pretty. You could totally serve the crusty bread on this sheet pan or transfer it to a holiday plate if you are serving this over the holiday season.
For literally the most gorgeous holiday plate set that I have ever seen in my life, check out the Mikasa Holiday Traditions set. When I saw this design for the first time, my jaw dropped and I texted a picture of the plates to my entire family. I love the gold on there and the delicate holiday design. So perfect for the Christmas season. It would be incredible to serve your holiday meal on these plates!!
