Lily's 1 Month Update
Clothing size: newborn
Diapers: newborn size
Weight: 7 lbs 14 oz (10-13%)
Height: 21" (37%)
Head measurement: 14"
Feedings: Lily is breastfed and I feed her every 2 1/2-3 hours during the day. Troy feeds her a pumped bottle between 11 and 12 and I feed her again around 2-3:30 AM. We figured out this feeding routine with the other kids where they get a pumped bottle and it lets me get about 4 hours of sleep usually before I have to feed her which is helpful. She has a little bit of a hard time getting back to sleep after her ~3 AM feeding but it has been a little better the last few nights.
Nicknames: Smutchka- from Adalyn, Lils, Lils Magills
Sleep: Lily loves sleeping during the day and loves to try to party from 3-6 AM which is not our favorite. She is often fussy during those times and sometimes sleeps in the crook of Troy's arm for awhile at night if she can't get to sleep. She is a lot easier baby than Adalyn ever was and is very similar to how Oliver was.
Milestones/Tidbits:
-Lily has been out and about all over town! She has gone to 6 outdoor concerts, to the pool many times, to at least 3 different splash pads, to a fair, twice to my parents farm (at 2 weeks old and 3 weeks old) and much more. She goes with the flow!
-Adalyn takes care of Lily so amazingly and loves holding her on her belly. She sings to her, helps wash her in the bath, helps change her diaper and smothers her with kisses and hugs all day long.
-Oliver loves Lily as well but is less hands on but does tell her he loves her, puts her pacifier in her mouth and gets sad when she is crying a lot.
-Troy has been home all summer and is so, so helpful with all 3 kids. I couldn't do it without him. He is way better at soothing a crying baby than me (besides me feeding her) and is super patient always and has the best rocking techniques that work like a charm.
-Lily is a really chill baby overall and enjoys a bath unlike my other kids. She sleeps most of the time and doesn't cry too excessively. Things are going well!

Life is going great for us! We are just really enjoying all things summer and adjusting to life with 3 kids.

I can't believe it's been a month already! She is so sweet and tiny! There is nothing better than that precious time with a fresh newborn at home.
