Make Your Own Waffle Bar features tons of fun toppings including fresh fruit, nuts, yogurt, raspberry sauce, maple syrup, peanut butter, chocolate chips and more!
When I see the word "bar" for any type of food, I am always intrigued. My kids, husband and I all love waffles. On weekend mornings, we sometimes have more time than usual and make a more involved breakfast. I decided to make make a Make Your Own Waffle Bar so that we could design our own waffles however we want them. I always like a little of this and a little of that so I love being able to have one waffle one way and a second waffle a totally different way! So fun!
I think that these would be so fun for a holiday breakfast. Typically, I host some family for Christmas morning breakfast and a waffle bar would be super fun! I would probably get the toppings ready the night before by slicing all of the fruit and putting the other toppings in bowls to save time during the holiday morning.
I would just toast the waffles the day of in the toaster or even the oven if I was making them in quantity. If I served them for Christmas morning, I would also pair with bacon and sausage, loads of coffee and orange juice.
I decided to keep this waffle bar pretty simple with toppings that could be ready in just a couple of minutes. The topping ideas are endless and you can feel free to customize them based on what you have on hand.
-Whipped cream
-Greek yogurt
-Chocolate chips
-Peanut butter
-Nuts
-Maple syrup
-Chia seeds
-Savory toppings- fried eggs, fried chicken, bacon, sausage
I love Kellogg's® Eggo Thick and Fluffy waffles from Walmart. They come in several varieties and are perfect for this waffle bar. Some of the options are blueberry, cinnamon brown sugar, double chocolatey and original. I love the Kellogg's® Eggo Thick and Fluffy Blueberry Waffles and the Kellogg's® Eggo Thick and Fluffy Cinnamon Brown Sugar Waffles. The blueberry now has 2x more blueberry bits and the cinnamon brown sugar has 50% more cinnamon.
When I'm serving a crowd, I don't have time to make homemade waffles and everyone is always happy with these. We also love them for weekday mornings before work or school. My favorite way is to have them toasted and spread with peanut butter and bananas and my husband loves them traditional style with syrup.
The Eggo Thick and Fluffy waffles have lots of flavor and are fun for a quick breakfast or a more involved one. You could even make a dessert waffle bar with toppings such as hot fudge or ice cream! Click here to earn cash back on your Eggo waffle purchase. Save on this Ibotta deal.
