Are you a fan of using cauliflower in unique ways? I'm totally on the cauliflower bandwagon. I love using frozen cauliflower in smoothies, I've tried cauliflower pizza crust and love making "fried rice" out of riced cauliflower. This meal is super simple and tastes delicious! It is loaded with vegetables and is ready in just 15 minutes!
Eating nutritious foods is a priority in my house but sometimes, it can be difficult to find time to make a meal. I told Troy recently that we need to do some meal prep and freeze some meals because working from home and taking care of my kids keeps me very busy. It is hard to find time to make meals 7 days a week and I love finding more nutritious options that are easy and save me time. I'm loving this Birds Eye® Veggie Made™ Chicken Fried Riced Cauliflower from Walmart which is ready in just 15 minutes, tastes delicious and my whole family likes it.
I love that this meal
uses cauliflower instead of rice. There is nothing wrong with rice and I often
cook with brown rice, but it is just a lighter option that is packed with
veggies. It is a good way to replace your favorite starches with nutritious
vegetables. I like that these are complete skillet meals, meaning that I don't
have to add in a bunch of other ingredients if I don't want to. My family has
been a fan of Birds Eye frozen veggies for years. I like grabbing a few at
Walmart and then storing them in my freezer and pulling them out whenever I’m
on a crunch for time but want a delicious and satisfying meal with veggies.
I love finding meals that are easy enough to cook with my 4 year old daughter. She loves to help Mommy in the kitchen and asks if she can do each step herself. Since we skipped most of the chopping by using this frozen meal kit, Adalyn was able to help with all of it. She poured the contents in the pan, helped stir it, helped plate it and set the table. I love teaching her to cook since my mom taught me to cook.
My kids are great eaters
and I do not think that that is up to chance. I show them that veggies are
exciting and have introduced them to a large variety of vegetables right from
the beginning. Also, by bringing kids into the kitchen and letting them help,
this can help them feel more excited about the food. In my experience, they’re
more likely to eat it if they helped. Try it! It works for my family.
I love that the "rice" in this meal is made from veggies. Birds Eye also has "pastas" in this line that are made from vegetables as well. Some of the options are garlic chicken, alfredo chicken and sweet and sour chicken. I especially want to try the sweet and sour chicken. I got this meal in the frozen section at Walmart. I like grabbing a couple of bags to keep in my freezer for when we need a quick meal. They are affordable and Walmart has several varieties available.
