Easy Whole-Wheat Everything Bagels
Easy
Whole-Wheat Everything Bagels have just 6-ingredients, are made with Greek
yogurt, don't require yeast or boiling, are made in the oven and can be made
ahead of time and frozen!
I've been wanting to
make homemade bagels for the longest time and am finally making it happen! I am
a huge fan of bagels but honestly, when we buy a bag of them, I tend to go
crazy on them and eat a bunch and not feel too well afterwards. When I heard
that you can make bagels with Greek yogurt and whole-wheat flour, I had to give
it a try! They turned out fabulous and I cannot wait to share this recipe with
you.
The kids, Troy and I are
all huge fans of bagels and I am so excited to keep experimenting with
different flavors. I chose to make everything bagels because that is one of
Troy's favorite kinds and want to make a sweet flavor next like blueberry.
These bagels are whole-wheat with the use of my favorite white whole-wheat
flour which bakes just like regular flour. They are actually pretty high in
protein as well which is unusual for bagels with about 10 grams of protein
which will help keep you full longer than a regular bagel thanks to the Greek
yogurt and whole-wheat flour.
These are super easy to
make and this is a fun recipe to make with kids in the kitchen. They just bake right
in your oven and before long, you have an awesome breakfast ready to go. You
can make a large batch of these if you like and freeze them to defrost for
another time. They are wonderful for BLTs, egg sandwiches, pizza bagels and
more.
