The Best Products of 2017 Part 31 + Giveaway
My last Products I'm Loving in 2017 post!! What a year of trying new and old favorites of different delicious products. One of my very favorite things to do is try all the food products on the market and this little job gives me the greatest opportunity. For those of you who are newer around here, did you know that that is how The Nutritionist Reviews started out? Completely as a product review blog. I started blogging to share my experiences trying different products. So fun!
This post is all about the pastas! Somehow, I was sent all kinds of pastas to try at once and this is my experiences with them:
1. Modern Table Meals
I am loving all of the bean pastas on the market and really feel that they are going to hit it big in 2018. I was sent a big box of samples from Modern Table Meals. Why not make a variety of pasta meals with the bean pastas? These pastas are lentil based and I was especially excited to see the Parmesan Pesto lentil pasta and the Jalapeno Cheddar Mac and Cheese. They are high in fiber and protein. I have nothing against whole-grain pastas but I love switching them up with bean pastas for more protein and fiber. Plus, we love beans. These are very tasty!

2. Degustabox
I shreaked when I saw this Cauli Rice. I thought that it would have to have a bunch of preservatives to make it shelf stable but it doesn't. I guess being vacuum sealed makes it good. It is shelf stable for 2 months. What a great product idea! These are great for lower carbohydrate stir-fries to use instead of rice (though we totally use rice too). I also love the Barilla Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto which is a great addition to any pasta or is fun to use instead of pizza sauce on a pizza. I love all things vinegar and these Good Thins are a fun flavor.
3. Explore Cuisine Bean Pastas
I love bean pastas and can never believe that they are made with beans instead of flour because they are just so good! These Explore Cuisine ones are made with green lentils, chickpeas and red lentils. We tried the chickpea spaghetti which was great and can't wait to make a protein packed lasagna with the green lentil lasagne noodles! How fun! These are a good source of plant-based protein and they are gluten-free and organic. They do not taste much different than regular pasta and my whole family enjoys them.
