9 After-School Snacks for Kids + Giveaway
This post was sponsored by Nabisco as part of an Integrated Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.
Adalyn is a huge snacker and all day long, says to me, "Mommy, I need more snacks!!". I am quite a snacker too so I make sure to stock our house with lots of snacks for the two of us. Overall, I try to keep our snacks quite nutritious but allow for some treats as well. Sometimes, snacks are as simple as plain carrot sticks or sometimes, it may involve a homemade baked good. It just depends on time, what we have on hand and what we feel like eating.

They can be found at Walmart in the cookie/cracker aisle. I like packing a couple of these for a road trip where I like to have a variety of snacks on hand for Adalyn.

When Adalyn comes home from school, she is always hungry! Here are some snack options for kids that are fun and that they will love:
1. Frozen Yogurt Fruit Cups
Frozen Yogurt Fruit Cups are so simple to make with just 3 ingredients and make the perfect high-protein filling snack that tastes like dessert! This is one of Adalyn's favorite snacks because she feels like she is eating an indulgent treat but they are nutritious.2. TEDDY SOFT BAKED Filled Snacks
For a treat, Adalyn has been loving these new-to-us snacks! They are cute and bear shaped and good for a snack on the road. She liked both varieties (chocolate and vanilla). She likes to dip them in vanilla Greek yogurt as well for a more filling snack.
They are made with milk, eggs and chocolate and have not high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors or colors.
3. Smoothie Bowl
Smoothie bowls take 5 minutes or less to make and can be made with whatever fruit, veggies and protein you have on hand.4. Banana Ice Cream
When our bananas are getting quite ripe, I peel them and freeze them in pieces and then blend with some milk and whatever else I want to and Adalyn and I just love having homemade healthy ice cream together.5. Roasted Chickpeas
All of my roasted chickpea recipes are going crazy on Pinterest and for good reason: they are healthy, easy and make a super tasty, addictive snack. Adalyn loves my Salt and Vinegar Roasted Chickpeas the best. These are fiber rich and full of protein.6. Homemade Quick Breads
I love making quick breads like banana bread or zucchini bread to have on hand for snacks. I always make mine with whole-wheat flour for more nutrition.7. Apple Nachos
These are so fun and kid friendly! Plus, they only take a few minutes to make.8. Simple Kabobs
String your favorite fruit, cheese, veggies and lunch meat on a kebab and kids will think that it is a super fun snack because of the presentation and variety.9. Apple Cinnamon Oat Bars
Apple Cinnamon Oat Bars are ready in just 30 minutes and make the perfect breakfast, snack or lunch addition! They are chewy, filling and nutritious. Adalyn loves these! I would make them with blueberries as well.Giveaway
