Celebrating The Moms in My Life

Last year, I got to celebrate my first Mother's day. It was such a special day to me as a new mom. Adalyn was just 8 months old at that time and life was still a little hectic, mostly related to lack of sleep. This year, things are a lot easier. Adalyn is almost 20 months old and we are going up north to my parent's farm for mother's day. I can't wait!

My first Mother's Day last year! Adalyn was a peanut.
It will be pretty casual and I look forward to hanging out with my family outside and hope that the weather is good because I love to be outside. My ideal mother's day does not include going to the spar or being away from my family. It includes good food and enjoying time with my loved ones (and maybe not doing chores...).

On Saturday morning, before we head up north for Mother's Day, Troy is going to make a nice breakfast for me and Adalyn so we can celebrate as a little family of 3. I love being a mom and it makes me so happy seeing my little one grow.

Of course, I cannot forget the other moms in my life on Mother's Day. First of all, my mom. My mom is always there for me and is a huge help with Adalyn. She watches Adalyn 2 1/2 days a week. Growing up, my mom was a stay-at-home mom and I always appreciated her being there for us kids after school when we needed her. We could talk to her about anything and she would give us advice.

I am also thankful for the other moms in my life such as my mother-in-law, my Busia and Troy's grandma. Without my mother-in-law, I would not have my husband so I am grateful to her for raising an awesome young man that is a great husband.

Troy's stepmom Wendy does not have any children of her own but she is an amazing grandma to Adalyn and I am thankful for her. My sister is not a mom yet but she is Adalyn's godmother and is like a second mom to her. I always say that Natalie is as good with Adalyn as I am. She always knows what to do, feeds her very well and plays with her a lot.

Mom's should be celebrated everyday for all that they do. It is not an easy job being a mom but it is a rewarding one.

For those with loved ones overseas, I found out about a neat program that makes sending money overseas easy. If your mom is overseas and you want to send her a mother's day gift, you may want to check this out! It is called Xoom and is a PayPal service that let you send payments to loved ones overseas in more than 40 countries around the world. It is quick, safe and simple to use saving you time so you can spend more time with your family.

Also, PayPal has some shopping deals for Mother's Day including sales and e-gift cards.

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
