Blackberry Protein Popsicles
Blackberry Protein Popsicles are so easy to make and make a healthy dessert or snack! Feel free to swap blackberries for your favorite fruit.
I had the most beautiful giant blackberries in my freezer that I had purchased earlier this year. I pulled those out and got to creating and was very happy with the result. The color is a beautiful purple shade that I love.
Blackberry Protein Popsicles
Servings: 6 popsicles
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups blackberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 scoop Purely Inspired vanilla protein
Just enough milk to blend
Directions:
1. Blend all ingredients together in the blender. Start with a splash of milk and add only as much as it needs to blend well.
2. Pour mixture into popsicle molds and freeze until firm.
This recipe is simple but very delicious. It has no added sugars but has stevia in the protein. The blackberries provided a great flavor and color. The Greek yogurt made the popsicle creamy and less icy than a homemade popsicle would usually be.
These popsicles would be good for kids too. My daughter Adalyn loved them- it was her first popsicle.
For this recipe, I used Purely Inspired 100% plant based protein nutritional shake which worked well in this recipe to give a boost of protein and nutrients. The protein mix is dairy, gluten and soy free. One serving has 16 grams protein and 7 grams of fiber. It contains a concentrated greens blend with broccoli and spinach. It is a blend of proteins including pea protein, brown rice protein and alfalfa juice protein concentrate.
