SwimWays Baby Pool Float for Summer

Celebrating Adalyn's firsts is so exciting. As a new parent, every little thing she does is the best and I am having so much fun watching her grow and develop. One of the things that I am very much looking forward to is having Adalyn go in a pool for the first time!

We have two local parks that we will take her to as well as my parent's pond at their farm up north. Of course, I have been buying a ridiculous number of swimsuits ever since I found out that she was a girl. Once the weather is nicer (and not 30 degrees...), I know that we will be visiting the parks often. 

I am an okay swimmer as is Troy but I hope for Adalyn to be a better swimmer than us both. Our park offers swim classes that I may sign her up for when she is older. 

Of course Adalyn is not old enough to swim on her own yet so I have been thinking about what kind of safety devices we will use to help her float so that she can have fun but be very safe. We were recently sent a float to try from SwimWays.
I want Adalyn to feel comfortable in the water so I have encouraged her to play in the bath which she now has a great time doing. I let some water get on her face so when she is in a pool, she does not get as scared. When June comes along, I plan to use this Baby Spring Float for Adalyn to try out the water for the first time.


The SwimWays floats are for babies 9-24 months so we will be able to use it next year as well. Prices range from ~$20-40 depending on what you get (sun canopy, activity center, animal, etc.).


SwimWays has been around for 40 years and has a line of Swim Steps products to help teach kids to be confident swimmers. Also, May 16th is National Learn to Swim Day. The point of this day is to remind caregivers and parents to teach their kids water safety.
