Homemade Almond Milk with Kitchezen Nut Milk Bag + Giveaway
Almond milk is a nutritious and delicious milk option! Have you ever tried making your own almond milk? It is a lot easier than you might think.
I was recently sent a nut milk bag from Kitchezen which can be purchased on Amazon for $9.97. This bag is FDA approved and BPA free. It comes with a 2 year money back guarantee which is awesome in case something happens to it. The bag is very sturdy and the material seems thick so that it will not rip.
The bag comes with a bonus recipe Ebook to give you ideas for different recipes you can make with the bag. It is large (1 gallon size). Since it is firm, the bag cannot stretch or tear.
Aside from almond milk, this would be a great tool to use for juicing too. Just make a smoothie and then strain out the pulp with this bag and you have fresh juice. A couple of other uses includ using it for make tea with loose leaves or for sprouting seeds. I know that I will get a lot of use out of it for making big pitchers of iced tea this summer because I have a lot of loose leaf tea.
The bag is reusable and can actually help you to save money in the long run since you can just wash and reuse. Some people use cheesecloth for this but this nut milk bag is more reliable and will last longer. The holes are extra fine so that the pulp does not go through.
To make your own almond milk, you can follow these steps:
1. Blend almonds with water.
2. Pour into nut milk bag.
3. Squeeze the almond milk out of bag. You can save the pulp too and use it for different recipes.
This nut milk bag from Kitchezen is nice quality and I look forward to experimenting with it for different recipes.
