Mamma Chia Review and Giveaway
I have seen Mamma Chia products on other blogs for some time but never had the chance to try them myself. I am a huge fan of chia seeds and eat them about 5 days per week in my oatmeal. I love to add a lot of chia seeds because they add a great texture to the oatmeal as well as being packed with nutrients.
Chia seeds are rich in fiber, protein, calcium, magnesium and of course omega-3 fatty acids. They are little nutrition powerhouses. I think that if you do not eat foods such as fish often, you should incorporate either chia or ground flax into your diet to meet your omega-3 needs.
Mamma Chia makes two great chia seed products: a chia squeeze and a chia drink. The chia squeeze comes in a pouch that is easy to eat on the go. It is great for busy moms or for kids for their lunches or after school snacks. With a baby due very soon, I know it will be harder to prepare meals and have ample time to eat my meals so Mamma Chia products will come in handy.
I enjoyed trying these chia squeeze drinks. They are different than anything that I have had before but are a good boost of nutrition for when you need it. The mango coconut was my favorite flavor.
The Mamma Chia Vitality Beverages are a mix of organic chia seeds and organic fruit juice with agave nectar. There are chia seeds throughout the Mamma Chia products which are different than what I am used to but I did not mind them.
Mamma Chia products are sold at Whole Foods, Target, Costco, Kroger and more. Check out Mamma Chia on Facebook and Twitter for more information.
