Rollerblade Spark 80 Alu W Review
Funny story, when I was growing up, I was not allowed to rollerblade. My parent's thought that it was too dangerous. Then in high school (about 11th grade), my parents finally allowed my siblings and I to get a pair of skates. The downside was that we had to wear elbow pads, wrist pads and knee pads every time or else we would be grounded (which totally happened to me).
On the other end of the spectrum, my husband actually used to be a competitive inline skater. He was very good and was sponsored by different companies! By the time that I met him, he had given that up. He has a history of having broken ribs, arm, etc. because he did so many different crazy tricks!
I was recently contacted to review a pair of skates from Rollerblade. I chose the Spark 80 Alu W rollerblades. They feature an aluminum frame and 80 mm wheels for good fit, speed and control.
I really like the grey and light blue colors of these skates. I chose a size 9 which is my typical size and it fits well. Unfortunately, at 6 months pregnant, inline skating around the city is not the safest option for me so I have only been able to try these out in my backyard and driveway.
In the fall once the baby is born, I know that I will be able to get good use out of them. They seem very smooth while riding which is great since I skate on the sidewalks which are not always even. They are padded and very comfortable.
I asked Mr. Rollerblade expert (husband Troy) what he thought of the skates and he thinks that this is a very good brand and these are some premium skates. I look forward to being able to get some use out of these skates!
