Kyocera Hydro Vibe Review

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Sprint. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating.

As part of my partnership with Sprint, I was sent another one of their phones to try. It is called the Kyocera Hydro Vibe which is a waterproof 4G LTE smartphone. This phone is a smart phone but is cheaper than most at $229.99 retail value (buying it without the plan for full price). This would be a good phone for those wanting a smart phone but looking for a lower price.

Also, FYI, I wanted to share that I am loving my HTC One M8 phone that I was sent from Sprint. I added all of my apps and switched my phone number to this phone. I think that it works great and I am very happy with it. The speakers are awesome and the pictures are very clear as well.

What is different about this phone compared to others is that it is waterproof for 3.5 feet for up to 30 minutes. I think that it would be awesome to take this phone on a camping trip or to the lake where you want to have your phone but are worried about getting it wet.

The screen is 4.5 inches and is impact-resistant. It also has a nice feature of being able to be heard clearly in loud environments. What I think of when I think of this is using it at a concert where I am trying to meet up with someone but it is loud. The phone features a Smart Sonic receiver and a 8.0 MP camera which is quite good. With the phone being waterproof and having a good camera, it would be nice to take nature pictures with.

The phone is a good weight and not too heavy. Also, it has a longer battery life than some other phones with 2,000 mAH battery. With this phone, you do not have to worry about buying a waterproof case which is really nice.

Luckily, I have never dropped my phone in the water but with a baby on the way, I could see something like this happening (I hear that kids love to take their parent's phones).

Honestly, I like this phone but it is too small for me to use as my everyday phone. It looks a lot more similar to an iPhone and at this point, I like a larger screen since I do a lot of blog and email reading on my phone and enjoy being able to see pictures bigger and more text at one time.
