Smari Yogurt Review and Giveaway
I absolutely love yogurt. It is one of my favorite breakfasts and snacks. I much prefer rich and creamy yogurt such as Greek yogurt as compared to the thin kinds. I recently heard about Smari yogurt and knew I must try it. I try to sample every brand of yogurt and had never tried this one until now. It is an organic Icelandic yogurt. It is very rich like Greek yogurt and is even creamier.
For my review, I was sent a pure (plain) yogurt, vanilla, blueberry and strawberry to try. I ate all of the yogurts that I was sent and absolutely loved them all. This is definitely in the running for being one of my favorite brands. One serving of the yogurt has 17-20 grams of protein which is even higher than some Greek yogurts.
My favorite flavor was actually the vanilla. Normally, I am not a big fan of vanilla yogurt but this one was not too sweet. It still had the tang of yogurt but was just sweet enough. It has little vanilla bean specks in it as well which I thought was neat. I have been eating this yogurt with granola and other cereals in it.
The plain yogurt is really awesome as well. A 6 ounce portion has 100 calories and 20 grams of protein. Definitely enough to help keep you full! I ate this in so many different ways. As you can see in my picture above, I ate it with a homemade cranberry sauce. I also used this yogurt in a savory recipe for a broccoli salad with sunflower seeds and raisins. It turned out really well. I loved how versatile it was.
The blueberry and strawberry Smari flavors were also very tasty. I took those to work for breakfast. These yogurts do not have any fat and have 20% of your daily calcium.
I really loved trying these and will definitely purchase them in the future. If you are a fan of Greek yogurt, I recommend trying Smari yogurt for something different. You will love it!
