Simply Suzanne Granola Review and Giveaway
You all know by now how much I love to try out local Michigan products. Any
way that I can help support my local area is important to me. I recently found
a company called Simply Suzanne which
makes different flavors of granola. They are based in Detroit , MI .
Their granola comes in 4 different flavors: original, lotsa
chocolate, so very cherry and dark chocolate and coffee. They also have a
couple of trail mixes available as well.
I was able to sample one of each of the granola flavors. My
favorite granola has to be the so very cherry granola. It has whole, dried,
tart cherries in it and is so tasty. Not only that, they are Michigan grown cherries! The granola is nut
free, vegan and all natural. I like the simplicity of it. It has a slightly
sweet, cinnamon flavor. It uses maple syrup and brown sugar for sweetness.
My other favorite flavor was the dark chocolate and coffee.
Can’t go wrong with that combo! Ingredients include whole grain oats,
chocolate, soy lecithin, brown sugar, maple syrup, canola oil, cinnamon,
coffee, sea salt and black pepper. Yes, black pepper. I thought it was really
interesting that these granolas contain black pepper. I could not really taste
it though. Try this with vanilla Greek yogurt for an excellent snack or
breakfast.
These granolas do not use artificial flavoring, high
fructose corn syrup or preservatives. It is tasty sprinkled over Greek yogurt,
with milk or eaten on its own (my favorite). A 1/3 cup serving has 120
calories, 3 grams protein, 3 grams fiber and 7 grams sugar. Just watch portion
sizes as it is so easy to over eat granola.
This granola is for sale on Amazon and comes in 2 oz, 12 oz
or 72 oz packages. I loved trying these granolas. If you have not tried this
brand of granola before, I would definitely recommend it.
