Kit's Organic and Luna Protein Bar Review

Kit's Organic Bars
I am already a fan of Clif bars including their tasty Mojo bar. I was recently sent their Luna Protein Bars and their Kits Organic bars to try. They both come in some fun and tasty flavors.

The Kits Organic bars blew me away with how simple the ingredient list is. For example, the Peanut Butter bar which was my favorite contains only 4 ingredients: dates, peanuts, almonds and sea salt. All of these are real ingredients and you can eat one of these bars knowing that you are not putting fake foods in your body.

One bar contains about 200 calories, 11 grams fat, 4 grams fiber, 15 g sugar (from the dates) and 6 grams of protein. All of the bars tasted good but I especially enjoyed the peanut butter which had a nutty and fruity flavor.

Luna Protein
I was able to try a few kinds of the Luna Protein bars including chocolate peanut butter, chocolate chip cookie dough and mint chocolate chip. I ate one of these bars a few hours after a long run. I had gone running, took a shower and then ate a big breakfast that my husband had prepared. Within two hours, I started to feel lightheaded and not quite myself. I pulled out this chocolate peanut butter bar, ate it quickly and felt so much better.

I like how chewy these bars are. They seem more like eating a dessert than a protein bar really. These bars have about 170-200 calories, 12 g protein, 3 g fiber, 8 g fat and 13 g sugar. They are made with soy protein as the main ingredient. They are not as natural as the Kits Organic bars but are still a good choice.

I enjoyed trying these kinds of Clif bars. I am amazed how many different varieties of Clif bars are made. If you do not like one kind, try another because they vary a lot from one to another.
