New-to-Me Product Review
Rumiano Cheese
I was given some free product coupons for Rumiano Cheese which I was able to
find at Whole Foods. Please note that not all Whole Foods carries this cheese
as I could not find it at my own store but found it at a further store. The kind of cheese that was carried was the
Monterey Jack cheese. This cheese is certified non-GMO and organic. The cows
are grass fed and is certified humane.
My husband and I have been enjoying this cheese all
different ways. He likes it on a sandwich. I have been enjoying it on its own
where you can really taste the flavors. My favorite way to eat it is room
temperature. We also created a very tasty hodgepodge dinner where we had a tray
of this cheese, pretzels, green peppers, hummus, peanuts and grapes. This
Rumiano Cheese is very flavorful and I would recommend it.
Blind Spot Nut
Butters
I was sent a couple of samples of Blind Spot nut butters to try
including AllNut and Cinnamon Roll. The AllNut butter is smooth with little bit
of texture. It includes peanuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds, sunflower seeds,
flax and pumpkin seeds. This nut butter was very tasty and I love how it
includes some of each nut.
The cinnamon roll is a blend of cashews, almonds and peanuts
with spices that taste like a cinnamon roll. This is Blind Spot’s most popular
flavor. Listen to some of these other flavors: pumpkin pie, French toast, sea
salt caramel and banana bread. Don’t these sound awesome?
Food Should Taste
Good Chips
I have reviewed these Food Should Taste Good chips a
couple times here on the blog and like them a lot. As I’ve said before, my
husband and I love chips and salsa. It is easily one of our very favorite
snacks. The company sent me a surprise package of sweet potato and multigrain
Food Should Taste Good Chips. The have the special breast cancer logo in honor
of Breast Cancer month. You can purchase these chips to help support breast
cancer.
Coconut Secret
Coconut Secret
is a company that makes all kinds of products from coconut. I was sent their
coconut aminos and the coconut flour to try. I have wanted to try coconut flour
after seeing it on many different blogs.
Coconut flour is made from dried coconut meat. Two
tablespoons have 62 calories, 3.5 grams protein and 6 grams of fiber. It is
organic, gluten-free and unrefined. It is a good option to use instead of
regular flour. You can use ¼ cup coconut flour to ¾ cups regular flour. I love
the high protein and fiber content. I have experimented with this flour a
little bit and can’t wait to see what else I can come up with. Some bloggers
have made mug cupcakes with this flour and I would love to try it myself.
The coconut aminos can be used in place of soy sauce in
recipes. It is just organic raw coconut sap with sea salt. This is tasty and
was very good added to my stir fry. I could not really taste any coconut flavor
and it did taste more like soy sauce. Watch out using too much of this though
because it is high in sodium (113 mg for 1 tsp).
I was able to try lots of fun and new to me products!
