Pacific Foods Milk Review and Giveaway
Pacific Foods is a company that sells non-dairy milks, soups and broths. For my review, I was sent 4 non-dairy milks to try including unsweetened soy milk, 7 grain, ultra soy and hemp milk. I wanted to try some new-to-me varieties since variety is the spice of life.
I decided to incorporate the unsweetened soy milk into a pancake recipe that I created. They turned out well but I did not take a picture since my pancakes never turn out picture perfect.
Oatmeal Pancakes
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup soy milk
1/3 cup pureed fruit (I used apricots but you could use applesauce too)
2 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon oil
Nonstick spray
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
2. Heat a large pan until hot and spray with nonstick spray.
3. Add a couple tablespoons of batter to pan to make 3-4 pancakes.
4. Flip pancakes once you start to see tiny bubbles through pancake.
Serve immediately! These are great topped with peanut butter, coconut butter or good 'ol fashioned syrup.
I loved the addition of the soy milk in this recipe. One cup is 90 calories, 9 grams of protein and 4.5 grams of fat. I will also be using these milks to make smoothies, baked goods, etc. I do consume regular cow's milk but also enjoy switching it up and using non-dairy milk as well. These Pacific Foods milks are a good non-dairy option.
