La Tortilla Factory Review and Giveaway

I love using tortillas for all kinds of recipes! I was recently sent a case of La Tortilla Factory tortillas for my review here on the blog. I have quite a funny story to start off with. I went on a bike ride with my brother recently and left my 2 dachshunds out of their cage while I went. Right before I left, I saw a cardboard box package on my front porch and put in in the house. When I came back from my bike ride, the package was ripped into and two packages of tortillas were eaten! My dogs are horrible. At least you know that La Tortilla Factory is canine approved, right?
Anyways, so after the initial robbery of my tortillas, I was able to try some of them for myself. I love that this company has mini soft wraps that only have 50 calories each. Many of these come in whole wheat which is my favorite. I also loved their Smart & Delicious high fiber tortillas with 7 grams of fiber per serving. These tortillas are much healthier than many others out there but still have that soft texture and great flavor.
I have used these tortillas for 2 different recipes so far. For one, I cut the La Tortilla Factory fiber & flax corn tortillas into bite sized triangles, sprayed with nonstick spray, sprinkled with garlic powder and baked in the oven for about 15-20 minutes. The result was crispy, low-fat, low-calorie chips. I served these to my siblings with guacamole and they loved them.

The other use that I have enjoyed using these La Tortilla Factory tortillas for is a peanut butter and banana rollup. I just sliced a banana, added a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter and rolled it up. This make a great breakfast or snack.
