Adora Calcium Supplement Review and Giveaway
I try to get my daily recommended 1000 mg of calcium in each day by eating a variety of calcium rich foods but many days, I know that I do not meet those requirements. Calcium of course is needed for strong bones but is also necessary for many other functions in the body including muscle function, nerve transmission and vascular contraction and dilation.
Calcium is a very important mineral and without consuming enough, you may be at risk for osteoporosis. I have heard about Adora calcium supplements in the past but had never tried them. They are calcium supplements in the form of dark and milk chocolate- yum!
For my review, I was sent a bag of each. I tried the dark chocolate ones and my dad tried a milk chocolate disk. One calcium disk has 30 calories per piece. One small disk contains 500 mg of calcium which for most people, is 50% of their daily requirements. It is also high in vitamin D and magnesium.
You may take up to three per day- honestly, I would recommend up to 2 a day unless you really do not consume calcium rich foods.
These chocolate disks are very tasty and just taste like regular chocolate. Both my dad and I enjoyed them. I smear of peanut butter on one is also great.

Greek Yogurt!
ReplyDeleteI need a LOT of calcium and vitamin D, since I have a kidney disease that leaches those from my bones. It's difficult for me to get enough from my diet, so I have to take supplements. This would be a much more fun and tasty way to do it! :)
