Better Oats Review
Oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfasts. Monday through Friday, I have either oatmeal or Greek yogurt each day. Oatmeal is high in fiber, is a whole grain and contains soluble fiber as well.
I was recently sent some samples of Better Oats to try. I was sent the oatmeal cookie, strawberry, maple and brown sugar and very berry samples to review. I must say that I do not like my oats too sweet. These packets are very sweet so what I did was mixed it with 1/4 cup regular oats. This helped to dilute the sweetness.
My favorite flavor was the oatmeal raisin cookie. This was like eating a dessert! It did taste like an oatmeal cookie which was awesome. One packet has 150 calories so like I said, I like mixing half a packet of this with 1/4 cup regular oats to have a semi-sweet flavor.
The ingredient list is pretty good with whole grain rolled oats, sugar, raisins, flaxseed, salt and molasses. The flaxseeds provide omega-3 fatty acids.
These are fun to eat on the go for people who are very busy. I also tried the strawberry flavor which was okay but was a little artificial tasting.

I like these when I'm on the go. I also occasionally add a pack (raw) to my smoothies. Yum! I hadn't thought to cut the sweetness with plain oats, thanks for the idea :)
