I have seen
Wine-Trax around the last couple of years and have been wanting to try it. What it is wine glasses with markers on it that let you know how many ounces of wine is in your cup. When I drink alcohol, I like to know exactly how much I am drinking so that I stay in control and do not drink too much.
A set of 2 glasses costs $28.50. I like that these glasses not only let you know how much wine is in your glass but they are also stylish as well. The glass has marks for 4, 6 and 8 ounce portions. The glasses fit 11 ounces of liquid. I will definitely be using these to help stay within my limits.
Not only does this company make wine glasses but they also make portion controlled bowls and plates. The Snack-Trax cereal/snack bowl has lines for 1/3, 2/3 and 1 cup servings. It is a 2 cup bowl that comes with a lid for easy storage. I would definitely use this bowl for cereal, chips or other snacks to help keep my portion a decent size.
Finally, I was also sent a Meal-Trax which is a measuring dinner plate. It is divided using the MyPlate method which is 1/4 protein, 1/4 starch or whole grains and half fruits and vegetables. I absolutely love this! MyPlate is a great education program created by the USDA to make it simple for people to understand how to eat healthy.
As a dietitian, I think that this company is awesome! I would definitely recommend these products to those trying to lose weight or just trying to eat healthy. Portion control is one of the most important things about healthy eating and these products make portioning easy.
