Andean Dream Quinoa Products Review and Giveaway

Many of you have probably heard about the great benefits of quinoa. It is high in protein and is actually a complete protein which is unusual for a grain. Quinoa right now is being considered a "super food" even though it is a very ancient grain that has been around for thousands of years.

I recently found a company called Andean Dream that makes different quinoa pastas and cookies.  I was excited to try these to see if they were tasty and if they were a good alternative to traditional wheat pastas and cookies for those who cannot have gluten.  I was sent some of the quinoa macaroni and spaghetti as well as the chocolate chip cookies, coconut cookies, and a few samples of the rest of their cookies.
There were a couple products that I really loved. I didn't think that I would be a fan of the orange essence cookies but that actually became my favorite product. The orange flavor is subtle and the cookie was crunchy and buttery. The cookies are gluten free and do not contain dairy, eggs, soy, corn, or nuts. The cookies come individually packaged and are great for a small snack or as part of your lunch. The coconut cookies were pretty good too. They did not have as much coconut flavor as I was expecting though. Each cookie is 75 calories.

The quinoa pasta was also very good. I had the spaghetti which as 207 calories per serving, 6 grams of protein, and 3 grams of fiber. The ingredients include organic rice flour and organic quinoa flour. The texture was very similar to traditional pastas and tasted about the same too. I would definitely recommend this to someone who needs gluten free products.

    I would love to try their Chocolate Chip Cookies, I would love to try the Quinoa Spaghetti too, I use Quinoa Fusilli a lot but didn't know about Quinoa Spaghetti till I went to their site.
