Coffee Smoothie
Coffee Smoothie is a 5-ingredient healthy smoothie that is ready in just 2 minutes and makes the perfect breakfast or snack!
Like many of you, I can't wait for my morning cup of coffee. I just love it! Troy and I say that one of the happiest parts of our morning is having our coffee. Most days, I drink my coffee hot out of a travel mug that keeps my coffee hot for hours (as a busy mom, it takes forever to drink my coffee because I am always doing stuff for the kids).
I always take my coffee out with me when going places with the kids. It comes with me to the zoo, on a walk, to the park, etc. I love making my coffee at home and bringing it everywhere for that boost of caffeine and delicious flavor.
We use a Keurig and use both k-cups and a reusable cup that we fill with coffee grounds. We both drink our coffee with just 2% milk. Sometimes though, I like to switch things up and experiment with coffee in recipes. I love making a homemade frozen coffee drink at home with caramel syrup, coffee, ice and milk.
This time, I decided to make a coffee smoothie. Since I love frozen coffee drinks, I decided to make a healthy one that is protein rich from the Greek yogurt. I chose to use frozen banana because bananas make a smoothie super creamy and smooth. You can use additional ice if you desire but you do not have to.
Total time: 2 minutes
1/4 cup milk
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional toppings: cinnamon and caramel
I love using Folgers® Coffeehouse Blend coffee in my smoothie which I picked up at Kroger. It is super flavorful and delicious. I just make it a little bit ahead of time and let it cool completely for my smoothie or even make it the night before and keep cold in the fridge for the next day.
Folgers coffee can be prepared many different ways: French press, iced coffee, cold brew, pour over or made in a regular coffee machine. It is delicious all of these ways!
