Grilled Sesame Asian Shrimp and Vegetables
Grilled Sesame Asian Shrimp and Vegetables takes 20 minutes to make and is marinated in a delicious tangy marinade and filled with vegetables for a perfect meal!
This year, we will be celebrating my husband's second Father's Day! For Father's Day, we will be traveling so I wanted to celebrate ahead of time with him. A week before Father's Day, we will be celebrating with my dad and my father-in-law at my parent's farm. I cannot wait! It will be so much fun.
My husband Troy does so much for our family so I wanted to make a meal that he would love for a pre-Father's Day celebration. We love shrimp but they can be expensive so we do not buy them that often. I found a great deal on them so I purchased some along with some of Troy's favorite vegetables: onions, peppers, mushrooms and sugar snap peas.
My husband's #1 favorite obsession is black sesame seeds. He loves to throw them in everything that he makes including Asian dishes, eggs, grilled chicken and more. They do not have much of a flavor but my husband is totally addicted.
I made a delicious Asian marinade with sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, black pepper and garlic powder. It turned out amazing and even though this meal could be for 3-4 people, we ate it all between the two of us. So good!
This was my first time working with raw shrimp ever. I always buy the cooked kind but these were very easy to cook with and I would buy them again. They had a great meaty texture that we loved. Feel free to use any vegetables that you like for this recipe. I recommend using a grill mat so that the vegetables do not fall through the grill grates.
