Pier 1 Outdoor Oasis Grilling Party + Giveaway
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Millennial Central (#MC) for Pier 1 Imports. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating.
I was recently provided a gift certificate to Pier One to check out their summer outdoor collection. I had a ton of fun walking around checking out the items that they had available. I chose some items for a summer party including a glass pitcher for iced tea or other cold beverages, a cute flower citronella candle for keeping mosquitoes away, stemless wine glasses and some simple white dishes to hold condiments and other small foods. Many of the items were not too expensive. You can decorate your outdoor space for not a lot of money.
For my party, I decided to keep it simple with some favorite summer foods and the foods that I have been craving. I went with grilled hamburgers with grilled french fries. I had never made grilled fries before and was excited to try these out. I recently bought some new grill mats to make grilling small items easy and was able to try those out as well.
I made my grilled onion burgers that I shared on the blog before and these grilled potato wedges:
On the side, we had a salad with tomatoes and beets and ginger peach iced tea which is my husband's favorite.
The candle holder that I purchased is great. The flame changes color and is perfect for summer. The pitcher is very sturdy and heavy (so it won't blow over if it gets windy) and our tea looked nice in it.
As you can see in the pictures, the weather was so beautiful! It was sunny and about 77 degrees. To keep with the outdoor oasis theme, I chose simple items to set around that made the area peaceful and calm.
Troy and I picked up some adirondack chairs last year that I really like. He recently purchased some tiki torches with citronella in them to keep bugs away. My parents purchased us an outdoor couch and table when we were first married that we love. Along with these items, I would love to get one of these egg chairs from Pier One. I have seen them for a couple of years and think that they are so cute!

Burger toppings included red leaf lettuce, onions, tomatoes, jalapenos and olives.
The stemless classes are very inexpensive at Pier 1 at only $2 each! The small bowls are super affordable as well at only $2 each.

There were a ton of different styles available- something for everyone! One of the trends this summer is bright colors. I love this mix of yellows and green.
