The Republic of Tea Review
The Republic of Tea Review
As long as I have been writing this blog, I have wrote about how much I love tea. I love to try any new-to-me kinds and am always developing new favorites. In the last year or two, my brother has also become obsessed with tea which makes buying and trying new flavors even more fun. I love The Republic of Tea and had so much fun reviewing all of these great flavorsTea is full of antioxidants and is virtually calorie free making it a smart drink of choice. Many times in the evening if I can't satisfy my hunger through snacks, I will make myself a cup of decaf tea. I also drink a cup of decaf tea in the morning and a cup of caffeinated tea in the late morning or early afternoon.
I was recently sent a large variety of teas to try from The Republic of Tea. I have enjoyed trying these new flavors. Here is my opinion on some of the teas that I have tried:
-Hibiscus Tea- This tea is caffeine free and brews up a nice dark, cranberry color. It is semi-sweet and has a fruity flavor. The first time that I made this tea, I did not brew it quite long enough so the flavor was weak. The next time that I brewed it, I left it in the hot water a minute longer and it brought out more flavor. This is a tasty tea to drink hot but I think that it would also be great iced.
-Orange Blossom White Tea- This tea has a simple white tea flavor. I could not taste any orange flavor in it though. White tea typically contains around 20 to 30 milligrams of caffeine per serving which is quite low.
The Republic of Tea Honey Ginseng Green Tea Review
-Daily Green Tea Honey Ginseng- I also really enjoyed this Honey Ginseng green tea. It is still zero calories but contains a sweet honey flavor. This is perfect for sipping on to relax. I could definitely see myself sipping this if I had a sore throat. They sell this tea at Panera! This is my first time trying any tea from The Republic of Tea and I really enjoyed it. Something to note is that most of the containers of tea come with 36 to 50 bags of tea which is much more than the typical 16 to 20 bags that most teas come with. Even though it is higher priced than tea in the grocery store, it ends up being about the same price after you figure how many more bags of tea that you are getting per container.
If you are at all a fan of tea, you must check out the fabulous sounding flavors that they have to offer. Just listen to the names of these teas: Banana cuppa chocolate tea, Cranberry blood orange, Decaf Kiwi pear green tea, Sip for the cure pink lemonade green tea and Almond coconut macaroon red tea. They are definitely on my must-try-next list!
Is the Republic of Tea Good?
Yes! My favorite tea from The Republic of Tea is their Honey Ginseng Green Tea which they also have at Panera. Their teas are high quality and delicious.
