Cutting Edge Stencils Review and Giveaway

I bring to you this review and giveaway with so much excitement. Cutting Edge Stencils is a company that sell stencils for your walls, floors, etc.  For many years now, I have loved anything with a damask pattern. Many things in my home are that pattern and whenever I see it, I just love it.

My husband and I have been working on redoing our basement bathroom and could not decide exactly what to do with it. We knew that we wanted grey but it is too big of a bathroom to have plain walls. When I found Cutting Edge Stencils, I knew that I had to work with them on a review and try out one of their stencils.
Cutting Edge Stencils offers tons of different stencils to choose from including many damask designs (!!!). I had a hard time choosing which one to get because they were all so amazing.  I ended up going with the Gabrielle damask stencil which I think looks amazing.

I am a first time stenciler and was nervous for a few things. I was nervous that it would take forever and that I would get sick of doing it. I was nervous that the paint would smudge or run. And finally, I was nervous that the stencil patterns would not line up and look bad. Even though I was nervous about these things, I went with this design because I really loved it and knew that if I could make it look good, I would be very happy.
First, my husband painted the walls grey and we let them dry overnight. The following day, I put on my painting clothes and got busy. I was sent a foam roller with the stencil as well as a level to make sure that my design was straight. I taped the stencil up on the wall and started painting white paint into it. I chose a flat paint because that was recommended by the company. I kept peeling back the corner of the stencil to see if it was smudging and it was not. In fact, it looked incredible. The cleanup of the stencil was also very easy. I just took a cleaning brush and washed it with plain water for about 1 minute and all of the paint came off.

I am so happy with the results of this project. I am not artsy at all and not very patient either. I think that my bathroom turned out incredible and I can't stop running down to the basement to take a peek at it. Cutting Edge Stencils were easy to use, did not have any bleeding on the walls, and looked great. Doing two walls in my bathroom took me about 3 hours which included some clean up time. Honestly, I am most proud of this room out of any in my entire house. I love damask and the look of the grey and white together is awesome. Thank you so much Cutting Edge Stencils for making a high quality product that even an amateur can use and make their home look great.
