Big News!!

As I had posted last week, I was waiting on my internship results.  Dietetic internships are very competitive and only about 50% of people who apply will get matched to one.  I had applied in 2009 and even with experience and a 3.8 GPA, I did not get matched to one.

Starting in March 2010, I began my current job as a dietary manager at a nursing home.  This job gave me tons of experience and by the beginning of this year, I was ready to reapply for internships.

On Sunday night at 7 PM online, I got the results.  I was matched to an internship at Western Michigan University (where I did my bachelor's degree)!!!!!!!!!!!! The program also has a master's degree attached to it so I will be working on that also.

This news is extremely exciting and shows that my hard work has paid off.  I start the internship at the end of August and will be able to take my test to become a registered dietitian around next July!!!! Thank you to everyone who sent me super nice comments and thank you everyone who prayed for me.

    Careful throwing around those credentials. ;) They made me sign forms stating I would't use a list of credentials between finishing internship to passing the CRD exam.
